Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

A scam on a leaky chimney becomes the starting point for a darkly funny and deeply personal story about trust, betrayal, and the stories we use to feel safe.

Blending dark humour, raw autobiography, and the language of fairy tales, A Very Difficult Person follows Rhys’ encounter with his own Big Bad Wolf and the aftermath that haunted him long after the work was done.

Through puppetry, storytelling, and verbatim voices, the show transforms a personal ordeal into a universal fable.

Rhys Williamson is a Bristol-based storyteller. Since 2014, he has been a writer, director and producer on Chris Cook’s shows, collaborating with Chris to make compelling and magical theatre that has been popular with both critics and audiences alike. Outside of his work with Chris, Rhys has been involved in a number of other projects, including producing two short horror films, providing dramaturgical and production support on other shows, and writing and providing SFX consultancy on immersive theatrical experiences.
