Artist Support

At Snap the Arrow, we’re passionate about helping artists make their work the best it can be. With over a decade of experience creating, producing and touring innovative shows, we offer a range of services designed to support artists at every stage of the creative journey. Contact us today to discuss how we can work together.

Every artist needs a trusted outside eye. We provide candid, constructive feedback to help shape your work into its strongest possible form.

Whether you’re developing a new piece of writing or devising a show from scratch, we can support you in turning raw ideas into a fully realised performance. Our experience lies particularly in working with solo artists developing personal, story-driven work, but we’re open to collaborating on a wide range of projects where we feel we can add value.

We offer practical dramaturgical tools and devising techniques to bring clarity to your creative vision, ensuring you know what you want the work to achieve and how to hold yourself accountable to that goal.

Think of us as collaborators who will challenge, support and refine your ideas until they shine on stage.

Directing/Dramaturgy

From script to stage, we know what it takes to bring a show to life. With 10+ years experience producing shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as touring across the UK and Europe, we can guide you through every step of the process. We offer tailored advice and hands-on support with:

  • Choosing the right venue for your work

  • Budgeting and financial planning

  • Funding opportunities and applications

  • Ensuring inclusivity, accessibility and safeguarding best practice

  • Building relationships with venues and promoters

  • Strategic positioning so your show stands out

Our aim is to help you avoid common pitfalls, make confident decisions, and create the best possible conditions for your work to thrive.

Producing

A great show deserves to be seen. That’s why design, marketing and PR are at the heart of what we do. Our in-house team brings expertise across these areas:

  • Marketing & Communications – Rhys is an experienced marketing professional who understands how to position shows to reach the audiences and coverage they deserve.

  • Design – Michelle is a skilled designer who knows how to translate the essence of a show into striking visuals that cut through the noise.

Together, their work on Fake (2025) resulted in coverage from more than 10 media outlets across the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, seven starred reviews, and over 1,000 audience members.

From naming your show to writing punchy copy, from crafting eye-catching visuals to securing press attention, we can help ensure your production makes a lasting impact.

Design, Marketing & PR

Sometimes a performance needs a touch of the impossible.

Chris has been working as a professional magician since 2008, with Rhys collaborating closely with him since 2014. Together, they’ve spent over a decade developing bold and practical methods to create magical moments that feel effortless and authentic.

We offer consultancy for both stage and screen, whether you want a magical flourish to elevate a scene or a special effect that feels like a natural part of the story rather than a “trick.”

Our combined experience ensures that effects not only astonish but also serve the narrative of your production. If you’re looking to add wonder to your project, we can help make it happen.

Why Work With Us?

We’ve walked the same path as the artists we support: developing shows from scratch, navigating the Fringe, securing press, and connecting with audiences. We know what works, and what doesn’t, and we’re committed to sharing that knowledge in a way that’s supportive, honest and practical.

Whether you’re at the very beginning of your journey or refining a show that’s nearly there, we’d love to work with you to bring your vision to life.
